Micromax, after launching the Canvas Blaze 4G in September, has now introduced its refreshed version, the Canvas Blaze 4G+. Listed on the company site, the pricing and availability details of the Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ have yet to be announced by the company.
The highlight of the Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ is 4G LTE support. The Micromax listing also claims that the handset supports Cat. 4 LTE with download speeds of up to 150Mbps.
Notably, the Canvas Blaze 4G+ features some specifications that are identical to the Canvas Blaze 4G. Both the dual-SIM handsets run Android 5.1 Lollipop, and feature a 4.5-inch (480x854 pixels) IPS display. Both come with 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Apart from 4G, other connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Both the handsets sport a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
There are few differences as well as the Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ smartphone is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735M) SoC clubbed with 1GB of RAM. The Canvas Blaze 4G, on the hand, packs a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Sporting an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, the Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G includes a 1750mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. The Canvas Blaze features a 5-megapixel rear camera and packs a larger 2000mAh battery.
The Canvas Blaze 4G+ bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Considering both the handset share a lot of similar innards, we can expect Micromax to price the Canvas Blaze 4G+ around the Rs. 6,999 price tag of the Canvas Blaze. At that price, the Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ will be competing against the likes of Motorola Moto E (Gen 2) 4G and Xiaomi Redmi 2.
